Apricot & Apple Chutney 200g
Sweet and Spicy – that’ll do nicely!
Gently spiced with fragrant and mild spices. This chutney makes the perfect accompaniment to smoked chicken and duck breast. A great addition to a smoked chicken Caesar sandwich. Try with a roast butternut squash, rocket and parmesan salad. My husband Michael enjoys this with rollmops!

Voted Best Preserve in the North West!
The addition of chopped ginger at the end of cooking really lifts the earthiness of the beetroot allowing the great flavours to shine and gives a warming feel to fight the winter blues. Flavoursome Apple and Date Chutney with Jenning’s Sneck Lifter ale
All the flavours of bygone Cumberland. A pleasing combination of apple and date chutney, with the addition of locally made Jennings Sneck Lifter ale. This chutney is spiced with ginger and mace, and sweetened with Demerara sugar – all ingredients traditionally imported into Cumbrian ports in the 18th Century. A favourite accompaniment to a Ploughman’s lunch.£3.15
Damson & Apple Chutney 200g
Tart and titillating, get your tastebuds tingling!
Delicious chutney bursting with the flavour of damsons and Bramley apples. An infusion of juniper berries during cooking adds an intriguing yet delicious aroma and flavour. Supremely good with game pie and peppered steak. Almost all of the stones are removed – but the odd one may remain as they are very hard to spot!£3.15
Fig & Apple Chutney with Armagnac 200g
An heroically hedonistic experience!
Originally made as bespoke chutney for a customer wanting something to accompany a cheese board, its popularity and immediate appeal made it a permanent fixture on our product list. The figs and Armagnac add a luxurious touch. We enjoy this chutney with stinky cheeses – the more stinky the better.

Red Onion Marmalade 200g
Caramelised red onions – a modern British classic and pantry essential
Red onions slowly caramelised with red wine vinegar for several hours, bringing out the natural sugars from the onions. We enjoy our red onion marmalade with cheese on toast, but it really is good with any savoury dish. It is a vital part of having a barbecue in our house, as it is just so great with barbecued meat and vegetables. Stir a spoonful into your gravy and this will be the easiest onion gravy you’ll ever make!
